Kolya Kotov (born in Moscow, Soviet Union) is a visual artist based in Finland. Their artistic practice primarily focusing on themes of gender identity, queerness, and the nuanced experiences of crip bodies. As a transgender and disabled individual, their work draws extensively from their own life experiences. Kolya’s creative expression spans a variety of mediums, including textiles, installations, kinetic sculpture, video and photography.
